We are seeking a full-time Financial Consultant to provide financial consulting to clients and members engaged in production agriculture to proactively define needs, identify opportunities or issues, and analyze data to recommend solutions.
The Financial Consultant will work with clients and members throughout the United States and will travel, on average, between 15-20% per year.

What you will do:
· Provide financial consulting for clients/members engaged in production agriculture to proactively define needs, identify opportunities or issues, and analyze data recommending solutions.
· Apply accounting and management concepts to provide written financial analysis helping clients/members achieve business and financial goals.
· Lead the development of standard reporting packages for lenders as needed by clients and members. This may include financial reporting, cash flows and budgets.
· Develop and understand GAAP standard accounting processes to successfully balance internal control, inventory management, asset control and accurate financial recording principles that align with their operation and the abilities of their staff.
· Fully understand and complete multiple entity transaction processing to assure reconciliation of inter-company transactions.
· Develop materials for and lead, facilitate and present at conferences or training sessions.
· Periodic travel to visit our clients and members.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree with concentration in finance or management and/or accounting, required. Master’s degree a plus.
· 5-7 years related experience: Production agriculture specific experience is preferred (with an accounting firm or Ag related lending organization)
· Solid understanding of GAAP standards, financial analytics skills and proven cash management skills.
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
