How Abeln Farms Shifted Gears for Long-Term Success and Found Community Support
When Joel came back to the farm in 2006, the operation began to grow, and he knew he needed to change how he ran his business. He didn’t have time to work in the business every day, but instead needed to devote time to working on the strategy of the farm for long term success rather than just the day-to-day tasks. Joel had worked with UnCommon Farms since becoming a member of the community in 2013 on his business and entity structure and organizational structure to move the vision for the future forward. Joel is also an active member of the agronomy peer group to level up his business in the field as well.
